Losers of the Web
I brain-scribed this list 2 minutes ago, and thought it was worth converting into blog-scribe. A list of companies/products/shows which had the web in their fingertips (as in, being the hot thing of a particular moment), and lost it (as in, didn’t sell out or get big, or had to shutdown in their particular form). rickyv: Charlie Rose interviews Marc Andreessen. What a seriously smart guy. Though I must say I disagree that the NYTimes should immediately shut down its print edition. I think it’s possible for a company to innovate while simultaneously harvesting the money to do so from a non-growing cash business.
