Apart from Apple, you can’t really expect much from the hardware/consumer electronics industry when it comes to providing a good user experience.
That’s why I was so surprised when I bought a new 250gb Seagate FreeAgent Pro external hard-drive today and it was running the moment I plugged it in, without any shocks, horrors, incompatabilities, or headaches.
Additionally, it was well...

As a Charlie Rose fan, this is too funny. Made my day.
Minimalism.
As most of you know (and by most I mean the one person that reads this blog), I’m working on a new startup to do with “sharing stuff” called Nincha.
In the weekend, I decided to hold off any commitments elsewhere and use that time to focus on the project, and the project alone. I’m glad to say it worked. I must have worked on it for about 10 hours throughout — and...

Just a quick note, I’ve decided to not reblog things here anymore — but instead use Tumblr for its specific purpose (posting original thoughts, links, quotes, videos, etc. through the service itself)
If you, however, want to keep up with my reblogged life in one place, you can do so with my FriendFeed. EVERYTHING will be reblogged there. Twitter, Digg, Flickr, Facebook, YouToube,...

Twitter should be what Friendfeed is, except its own service (like Poodz.) Ugh, obvious opportunity

Weekend pet-project time. It’s amazing how regenerated you feel when you work on creative stuff you wouldn’t otherwise work on on weekdays.
FriendFeed (the service that tipped yesterday) has the most amazing “Recommended Friends” service. Useful & better than ANY other I’ve used.
Happy Pi day, americans!
Freeing up space on the Macbook. Monolingual and What Size are too awesome apps - did 7gb all together.
And it really is marvelous. You can see what I’ve been up to like no other service. Not ever tumblr. http://friendfeed.com/sidyadav
Geni.com is going to be huge. My extended family over in India haven’t even heard of Facebook and they use Geni in so much more useful ways.
Wow, speaking of things that are going to be huge, FriendFeed is the next twitter. Friend requests are crazying me. And that’s a word.

Note to Web 2.0 fanatics: as techcrunch gets more techy and gadgety and less web 2.0y, we’ve decided to covers startups and services only.
So, the Bebo folks made a few million today and slashed a billion off of Facebook’s value. Who’s tomorrow?
